Loading Ramps - User Information & Safety Instructions
⚠️ WARNING
- Ramps must be securely pinned or fastened to the vehicle, trailer, or loading surface before use.
- Never exceed the rated capacity of the ramps.
- Never exceed the load capacity of the vehicle, trailer, or loading surface.
- Always use extreme caution when loading or unloading.
- Only load and unload on a stable, level surface from flat ground.
- Ensure no person is in the path of the vehicle or equipment during loading or unloading.
- Keep all bystanders well clear at all times.
- Do not step between rungs.
- Use extra caution in wet conditions, as ramp surfaces will have reduced traction.
- Use of these ramps while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any impairing substance is strictly prohibited.
- Do not use ramps as a jump, scaffold, bridge, or ladder.
- To reduce the risk of injury, the use of suitable personal protective equipment is strongly recommended. Leather rigger gloves should always be worn when handling loading ramps.
LOADING
- Secure the ramps to the vehicle or trailer prior to use.
- Position the vehicle square and in line with the ramps.
- Roll or drive the equipment slowly and steadily up the ramps.
- Ensure wheels or tracks remain centred on the ramps at all times.
- Take extra care in wet or slippery conditions to prevent tyre or track slippage.
- Do not stop on the ramps during loading.
UNLOADING
- Secure and position the ramps as described above, directly behind the rear wheels or tracks.
- Roll or drive the equipment slowly and steadily down the ramps.
- Keep wheels or tracks centred on the ramps at all times.
- Do not stop on the ramps during unloading.
MAINTENANCE
- It is the user’s responsibility to inspect the ramps and all components before every use.
- Do not use damaged ramps or components under any circumstances.
- Maintain ramps with regular cleaning to remove dirt, debris, and contaminants that may affect traction or performance.
- Lubricate hinge points on folding ramps frequently
